Tuning In: How I Stopped Chasing My Dreams and Started Aligning With Them

I used to think that if I wanted something badly enough, the universe would eventually give it to me.

I wrote down my goals in pretty notebooks. I made vision boards. I burned sage and whispered affirmations to the stars. And yes—those rituals have their place. But if I’m being honest, I was using them like a to-do list for the universe. I thought if I just did enough, wanted it hard enough, or pushed the right buttons, the life I dreamed of would drop into my lap.

But as time passed—and as I kept showing up for both my energy practices and my life—I began to realize something that shifted everything:

Our reality doesn’t shape itself around what we want.
It reflects who we are.

And I don’t mean that in a surface-level, personality kind of way. I mean in terms of our energetic frequency. The signal we’re sending out into the quantum field. The truth of what we’re vibrating.

That realization didn’t hit me in one moment. It was a series of awakenings—some on the mat, some in hard conversations, and some in quiet mornings when I finally stopped running from myself.

But I remember the first time this landed in my body, not just my mind.

I was going through a tough season. I was doing all the “right” things—meditating, manifesting, setting intentions—but nothing was shifting. I felt like life was on mute. No clarity. No momentum. Just static.

One morning on my mat, something in me softened. I dropped into my body—not with a plan, but with presence. I wasn’t trying to “get” anything. I was just breathing. Just being.

And in that stillness, it became so clear: I had been trying to manipulate reality from a place of lack.

I wasn’t aligned with my desires. I was reaching for them from a frequency of “not enough.”

It was humbling.

And it was also incredibly freeing.

Because I finally understood the gap between what I wanted and what I was experiencing.

It wasn’t about trying harder.

It was about tuning in differently.

The Science Behind the Shift

This isn't just poetic language or metaphysical musing—it’s grounded in science.

Quantum physics shows us that everything is energy. Everything.

Your body. Your breath. Your thoughts. Your emotions.

🧠 Your thoughts generate electric signals in the brain.

💓 Your emotions create magnetic fields in the heart.

Together, they form your electromagnetic field—a measurable frequency that you’re emitting all the time.

This frequency doesn’t lie. It broadcasts exactly what’s going on within you, whether or not you say it out loud.

And here’s where it gets even more powerful:

The field we’re broadcasting into—the quantum field—isn’t static. It’s responsive.

It holds infinite possibilities. And it organizes itself in response to what we are being.

So when we’re holding onto fear, doubt, or scarcity—even subtly—that’s the frequency we’re aligned with. And that’s the reality we tend to magnetize.

But when we choose clarity, alignment, and embodiment—even before the physical evidence shows up—we begin to resonate with a different experience.

We don’t chase our desires.

We become a match for them.

What Yoga Taught Me About Energy

This is where yoga comes in.

Not just the poses or the flow—but the awareness that yoga cultivates.

On the mat, we learn to observe ourselves. To feel what’s really going on beneath the surface. To be present in discomfort without running. To breathe instead of react. To listen inward instead of grasping outward.

Every asana is an opportunity to practice this. Each shape becomes a mirror reflecting where our energy is.

And when we bring presence to the shape—not just physical alignment, but energetic integrity—we create space for transformation.

Yoga has become one of the clearest paths for me to tune into my own frequency. Not just to feel good in my body, but to remember who I really am beyond the noise of the world.

It’s where I stop being the person who’s chasing life, and become the one who is creating it, breath by breath.

Who Are You Being?

I share this not because I have it all figured out—but because I’ve walked this path long enough to know what doesn’t work.

Pushing. Striving. Desperately trying to “make it happen.”

It’s exhausting. And it disconnects us from the very energy that would allow things to unfold.

Now, I check in with myself differently.

Not “What do I want?”

But:

Who am I being right now?

What am I broadcasting into the field—not through my words, but through my energy?

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the right things but still not seeing results, I invite you to consider this:

It’s not about doing more.

It’s about being more aligned.

When you shift your internal state—when you tune into clarity, expansion, trust—your energy begins to reorganize. And the quantum field responds.

This is deliberate creation.

And it begins within you.

A Practice To Begin

Here’s something simple you can try today—whether you practice yoga or energy work or not:

  1. Pause. Take 3 conscious breaths. Feel your body. Be where you are.

  2. Notice. What thoughts are you thinking? What emotions are present?

  3. Ask. “What energy am I broadcasting right now?”

  4. Shift. Choose one elevated emotion—gratitude, trust, love—and bring it into your awareness. Breathe into it. Feel it as fully as you can.

  5. Align. From that energy, take one small step forward. Make a choice. Speak a truth. Move your body. Whatever action feels like a match for the energy you just activated.

This is yoga off the mat.
This is quantum alignment.
This is creation in real time.

Final Thoughts

The more I learn to live from this place, the more life reflects it back to me.

Opportunities arise.
People show up.

My body feels better.
And most importantly—I feel like myself again.

So if you’re in a season where things feel disconnected or out of sync, know this:

You don’t have to force anything.

You don’t have to hustle for your worth.

You don’t need to “fix” yourself to be worthy of a beautiful life.

You just need to come home to your energy.

To become aware of what you’re being, not just what you’re doing.

And to trust that when you shift your frequency, the universe meets you there—every single time.

Because the most powerful thing you can ever do for your future…
is become the version of you who already lives it.

Unconditionally,

Michelle
